Behana Gorge Road, just out of Gordonvale, has one of those views you don't get tired of — a straight stretch of road cutting between towering cane fields, with The Pyramid rising up right at the end of it. That's where Kayla and Beau's engagement session started, before we made our way down to Behana Creek to finish up as the light dropped.
I joined this one at the invitation of Matthew Allen Photography, who brought me along to shoot alongside him for Kayla and Beau's session — always a nice change of pace, getting to work a location with another photographer's eye alongside your own. The cane fields gave us that classic FNQ backdrop, sun catching the tips of the cane and The Pyramid sitting hazy in the distance, before we wandered down to the creek for something a little more intimate among the trees and rock pools.
Their dog came along for the ride too, which — as always — made for some of the best moments of the day.
