Far North Queensland ELOPEMENT Photography

Just the two of you (or a small crew), somewhere that means something.

Maybe a big wedding was never really you.

Maybe you'd rather spend the budget on the honeymoon, or you just can't picture yourselves standing in front of a hundred people making promises that are really only meant for each other.

Whatever brought you here, an elopement doesn't mean less of a day — it means a day built entirely around what you actually want, without the guest list dictating the shape of it.

THE EXPERIENCE

With an elopement, there's no long guest list to manage and no reception timeline to hit — which means the day can actually breathe. We'll build it around what the two of you want: an early sunrise ceremony, a long lunch afterwards, a swim, a hike, whatever feels like you.

I'll usually be more hands-on than I would be at a full wedding, simply because there's often no one else there to help — think part-photographer, part-calm-presence, part-extra-set-of-hands if you need your dress hem held out of the water. Expect it to feel less like being photographed and more like spending the day with someone who happens to have a camera.

HOW IT WORKS

Short & Sweet, Everything You Need or The Full Day Adventure — from a tight 1.5-hour ceremony-and-portraits session through to a longer stretch that starts back at prep. All are fully customisable, and micro weddings with up to 15 guests are covered too, if you want a handful of your closest people there without the full production.

Handmade from the highest quality materials and fully customisable to your liking, I'll craft and bind your favourite photos into a fine art wedding album. We'll work together to weave a story and create an album design that you're absolutely in love with.

Simply select your must-have wedding images and I'll get the ball rolling. If you're not sure where to start or simply can't decide, I'll be more than happy to help you pull it all together.

You'll get up to 3 revisions to note any changes you'd like with my design, and we won't send it off to print until you're 100% happy with the layout. You'll be flicking through this album for years down the track, reliving your special day all over again, so let's make sure it's perfect!

WHERE TO ELOPE IN FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND

Rainforest clearings, quiet stretches of reef coastline, red dirt country further inland — Far North Queensland has no shortage of backdrops that don't need much dressing up to feel like the perfect setting. If you've already got somewhere in mind, tell me about it. If you haven't, that's part of what the pre-wedding catch-up is for.

Eloping outside of Far North Queensland? Get in touch — destination elopements are very much on the table.

A few of our favourite spots

Little Cove, Port Douglas QLD

A Stunning Tropical Garden location with ocean views

Little Cove in Port Douglas is a quiet, secluded beach perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies. Tucked between palm trees and overlooking clear, calm waters, it offers a private and naturally beautiful setting. The location is easily accessible but feels hidden, making it ideal for couples seeking a low-key, coastal celebration.

With minimal setup required and stunning views in every direction, Little Cove is a favourite choice for relaxed, beachside weddings in Far North Queensland.

Palm Cove, QLD

A Palm-lined beach location on the cairns northern beaches

Palm Cove sits quietly between Cairns and Port Douglas, where palm trees line the esplanade and the beach looks out onto Double Island in the background.

With resorts, lot's of palm trees and a jetty that catches beautiful late-afternoon light, Palm Cove offers plenty of variety within a small stretch of coastline — a solid pick for couples wanting a classic tropical elopement close to Cairns.

Daintree Rainforest, QLD

Ancient rainforest, hidden waterfalls and total seclusion

The Daintree is one of the world's oldest tropical rainforests, and it feels like it — dense canopy, secluded waterfalls and a stillness that's hard to find anywhere else. Ceremonies here tend to happen in small clearings or on one of the many beautiful beaches overlooking the water.

It suits couples who want their day to feel genuinely remote — somewhere that takes a bit of effort to reach and rewards it with real privacy and some of the most atmospheric light in Far North Queensland.

Fitzroy Island, QLD

A rainforest-fringed island location on the Great Barrier Reef

A 45-minute boat ride from Cairns, Fitzroy Island sits inside the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, with rainforest running down to calm, sheltered coves. Nudey Beach, tucked around the headland and reached by a short rainforest track, is one of the quietest and most photogenic corners of the island.

The crossing becomes part of the day — the island appearing on the horizon, that first step off the boat — which makes Fitzroy a lovely choice for couples wanting their elopement to feel like a proper occasion, without the guest list.

The Elandra, Mission Beach QLD

A clifftop hideaway overlooking Dunk and Bedarra Islands

Perched on the cliffs of South Mission Beach, The Elandra looks out over the Coral Sea toward Dunk and Bedarra Islands, with rainforest pressing right up against the resort — the occasional cassowary included. It's private, a little luxe, and deliberately understated in style.

About 90 minutes south of Cairns, it suits couples after a proper destination feel without leaving the mainland — somewhere to elope and simply stay on for a few days after.

Sheraton Mirage Resort, Port Douglas QLD

Beachfront resort elegance on Four Mile Beach

Right on Four Mile Beach, the Sheraton Grand Mirage combines direct beach access with lush tropical gardens and glassy lagoon pools — the resort's Crystal Chapel has floor-to-ceiling windows looking straight out over the sand. It's a polished, full-service setting for couples who want an elopement with a touch of resort glamour.

Being right in Port Douglas also means accommodation, dining and the beach itself are all in one place — well suited to couples eloping with a small group who'd rather not be shuttled between locations.

GOOD TO KNOW

Do you only do full weddings, or do you actually specialise in elopements?

Both — elopements and micro weddings (up to 15 guests) get exactly the same care and attention as a full wedding, just scaled to a smaller day.

Do you travel for elopements?

Yes — I travel Australia-wide and to New Zealand. Get in touch with your location and I'll let you know what's involved.

Do you photograph same-sex elopements?

A million times yes. LGBTQIA+, no matter how you identify or define your relationship — love is love and it's fully welcome here.

We're not really comfortable in front of the camera — is that a problem?

Not at all — it's actually the reason a lot of couples choose to elope in the first place. I won't pose you into anything stiff. Expect gentle guidance rather than direction.

How many photos will I receive?

Approximately 50–100 photos per hour of coverage.

How will I receive my photos?

A sneak peek of 5–10 images lands in your inbox within 48 hours. Your full online gallery follows 8–10 weeks later.

Do you have a payment plan?

Yes, your balance can be split across up to 6 instalments. Your final gallery is not delivered until your payment plan is complete.

What happens if I have to cancel or move my date?

The 25% retainer is non-refundable, as it secures your date. The remaining balance is due closer to the day.

LOVE NOTES

"We couldn’t recommend Jacinta enough! We aren’t big photo people, so we were quite nervous, but from our very first meeting she made us feel completely comfortable every step of the way. Jacinta has the perfect balance of professionalism and a down‑to‑earth approach, so you never feel stressed or overwhelmed. "

Katie & Steven

"Jacinta captured both my engagement and wedding day photos and I’m in love! She did so well at making the whole family feel at ease (none of us love getting pictures taken 🥲) and the entire album is gorgeous! Jacinta is very easy to get along with as well as great to talk with via email and make your dreams come true."

Hayley & Hayden

"If I could give 10 stars, I would! Jacinta captured our wedding day and couldn’t have been more amazing. Her professionalism and skills made our big day even more special!"

Amber & Jake

LOVE NOTES

"Jacinta captured our wedding last week, I could tell from the moment she arrived that I had picked the right photographer for us. The whole day was very relaxed, easy and we all felt completely comfortable. We were going for a very chill vibe and Jacinta captured us perfectly. The sneak peaks we have received so far are MAGIC, we honestly couldn’t be happier with Jacinta’s work and cannot recommend her enough."

Ashlee & Bill

"Jacinta was amazing from start to finish. We booked her for our private elopement and couldn’t recommend her more highly. She made us feel very comfortable, sent us out a gift prior to our big day and even went above and beyond to find us a new location the day before our elopement. Photos were absolutely stunning."

Courteney & Taylor

"Where do I start! Jacinta was everything we ever imagined from a wedding photographer. She was so chilled and calm which is exactly what we needed in a photographer. She was super organised throughout the whole process. We were extremely impressed with her editing skills to edit a beach full of people out of our photos ensuring to keep the beautiful sunset we were blessed with on our wedding day."

Joanna & Will

LOVE NOTES

"We had an amazing time at our shoot with Jacinta! Neither of us has had professional photos before, and Jacinta made us feel so relaxed and comfortable the whole time. Our photos are so beautiful, and now the hard part is deciding how many of the amazing shots we can fit on our wall!"

Lauren & Chris

"Jacinta was so kind and wonderful to work with! We had so much fun that it didn’t feel awkward and honestly we were laughing so much my fiancé and I barely noticed the camera. We love our pictures!"

Delaney & Brandon

"We were blessed with the best! Jacinta went above and beyond for us from the day we booked her. If your a bride like me that had no idea what they were doing or what they should be doing, look no further the only person you need will be Jacinta! She made sure every moment and detail was captured, and made us feel absolutely comfortable in front of the camera and took away all our nerves. She captured our day so perfectly and gave us beautiful memories to last a lifetime."
