I photograph weddings and elopements the way I'd want mine photographed — with someone who feels more like a friend than a stranger with a camera, who knows how to read the room, and who cares more about how you felt on the day than how the photos look lined up in a grid.
If you're the kind of couple who'd rather laugh with your people than pose for a hundred shots you'll never look at twice, we'll get on well.
HOW I GOT HERE
I didn't take the traditional path into this. I backed myself early, taught myself the craft from the ground up, and built this business from nothing because photography was the one thing I kept coming back to, no matter what else was going on around me.
That drive hasn't gone anywhere. Now, 5 years in, every wedding I photograph still feels like a genuine privilege — being trusted to document one of the biggest days of someone's life isn't something I take lightly.
Relaxed. Reliable. Not precious about getting "the shot" if it means making you feel awkward getting there.
I'll have a plan, but I won't be rigid about it — weather changes, timelines slip, people get emotional and forget where they're meant to be standing, and none of that fazes me. My job on the day is to stay calm so you don't have to think about it.
Behind the scenes, I shoot a mix of digital and 35mm film on Portra 400 — it's part of why the photos end up feeling a little timeless rather than trend-bound. In a few decades, they should still feel like you, not like a moment stuck in 2026.
WHY FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND?
This is home. I know which beaches catch the best light at 5pm, which rainforest clearings hold up in the wet season, and which venues from Port Douglas to Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands, Mission Beach and the Daintree actually work logistically on the day — not just in photos.
That said, I love a new venue just as much as an old favourite. There's something about shooting somewhere for the first time that keeps me sharp — no habits to fall back on, no shots I've already got in my head before I arrive. If you're getting married somewhere I haven't been, I'll turn up genuinely curious, not just working from a checklist.

OUTSIDE OF WEDDINGS
Outside of weddings, you'll usually find me somewhere near the water — most weekends involve a boat, a fishing line, or both. It's part of why FNQ suits me so well, and probably part of why I gravitate toward couples who feel most like themselves outdoors too.
