An hour that feels more like hanging out than a photoshoot
Maybe you're recently engaged and want a set of proper photos before the wedding-planning takes over. Maybe you've been together ten years and have never once had decent photos taken together.
Either way, if the idea of standing in front of a camera makes you want to hide, you're exactly who this is for.
Most couples I photograph aren't naturally comfortable being photographed — that's normal, and it's my job to make it easy, not yours to perform. Whether you're marking an engagement, an anniversary, or nothing in particular, the session works the same way: relaxed, unscripted, and about the two of you as you actually are together.
THE EXPERIENCE
We'll start with a chat about where feels right — somewhere with meaning to you, not just somewhere photogenic. Your local beach at the time of day you actually go there. The walking track you did on your first date. Your own backyard, if that's genuinely where you're most yourselves.
Once we're there, there's no forced eye contact, no "chin down, shoulders back." I'll give you something to actually do together — walk, talk, laugh about something — and photograph what happens in between the instructions rather than during them. Most couples tell me the first ten minutes feel a bit strange and the rest feels like hanging out.
HOW IT WORKS
A one-hour session together, hi-res and lo-res photos included, with a gallery of 15 images (additional images available, or upgrade to the full gallery).
Engaged?
This doubles as a proper warm-up for your wedding day — by the time it rolls around, you'll already know what it feels like to have me behind the camera, which makes everything more relaxed.
Not engaged, just want photos of the two of you?
Just as welcome, and treated exactly the same way — anniversaries, new relationships, or simply wanting something better than phone photos are all reason enough.
Planning a proposal?
I can be tucked away out of sight to capture the moment itself, then we can roll straight into a proper session together once the shock's worn off. Get in touch to talk through timing and location.
Packages start from $500
Prefer something outside of the above, like an anniversary session? Get in touch — sessions can be tailored outside the standard formats too.

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
Every package covers the essentials — these are the extras couples add when they want a bit more.

GOOD TO KNOW

We're really awkward in front of the camera — is that ok?
More than ok — it's genuinely the norm, not the exception. I won't pose you into anything stiff, and most people relax within the first few minutes once we're moving rather than standing still.
Do we need to be engaged to book a session?
Not at all — engagements, anniversaries, new relationships, or just wanting proper photos of the two of you are all equally welcome. The session works exactly the same way either way.
How long is a session?
Sessions are 45 minutes - 1 hour, which is plenty of time to settle in properly without it dragging on. Sessions can be tailored longer if you want more variety of locations.
How many photos will I receive?
Your gallery includes 15 images, with the option to purchase more or upgrade to the full set from your session.
Can I print my photos?
Yes — prints can be ordered directly through your online gallery.
Do you photograph same-sex couples?
A million times yes. LGBTQIA+, no matter how you identify or define your relationship — love is love and it's fully welcome here.
Do you travel for sessions?
I'm based in Port Douglas with no travel fees across Cairns, Port Douglas, the Daintree Rainforest. A small travel fee applies for locations on Atherton Tablelands, Mission Beach and Innisfail area.
