Haylee and Hayden got married at The Sugar Shed in Yorkeys Knob, keeping the day exactly as laid-back as they'd promised from the start — a ceremony, a meal, a few drinks, and only the people who mean the most to them in the room.

Haylee and Hayden met at the pub in Coen — her grandparents' town, and the pub his dad happened to own at the time. Five and a half years, a lot of moving around, and one son later, they finally settled in Cairns in 2023. If you followed along with their engagement session at Wangetti Beach earlier in their story, you'll already know their little boy, Reed, and their newest arrival a little girl, are very much part of the package.

Hayden proposed on a beach in Vanuatu — by Haylee's own account, "the most perfect backdrop" — and that same easygoing, no-fuss energy carried straight through to the wedding itself. No stress about ticking every box or booking a dozen vendors months in advance; just a genuinely laid-back gathering of close family and friends, exactly the kind of day that suited them.
